For API-based integrations, we’ll provide complete instructions and walk you through the process of connecting Martus to your accounting system.  

If your accounting system doesn’t offer an API, we’ll work with you to map your data and upload it into Martus.

How long does the implementation process last before we can start using Martus?

After the kickoff, you’ll be able to start using Martus immediately – even before any training sessions!  Our system is intuitive and easy to use.

Martus takes a train-the-trainer approach. We offer four or five 1:1 sessions (depending on subscription level) of one to two hours each. Martus also provides suggested reading for each session. 

We can also offer customized end-user training at an additional cost, which can be added on anytime. Reach out to your customer service representative to discuss the best approach for your company’s needs.

What kind of support does Martus include?

Your annual subscription includes email and telephone support, plus frequent software updates. 

Our Support Team is available Monday through Friday, 8AM until 8 PM Eastern Time, excluding holidays. Our response time commitment (SLA) is the next working day, although we expect to respond in a much shorter timeframe.

Can I limit which users have access to certain data?

Access is controlled at the function and dimension level. You can also further restrict access to certain accounts and/or limit drill-downs on certain accounts.

How current is my data in Martus?

Martus automatically syncs with your accounting system nightly!  You can also do on-demand updates at any time. (This applies to integrations with Intacct, QuickBooks, and Financial Edge NXT. Other accounting systems, such as Shelby and ACS, don’t offer an API for nightly updates, so those updates are performed manually as often as you wish.)

What if I forget my password?

The user can request his own password reset from the login screen or an admin user can send a login email to the user to allow them to reset their password?

Just let Customer Support know, and we’ll promptly increase your user limit. User licenses are sold in 5-user packs, and the annual cost is prorated so that all your licenses renew at the same time each year.

Does Martus provide for Personnel Budgeting?

Yes, the Personnel Budgeting module is an optional module of Martus. Personnel Budgeting allows you to develop payroll budgets in detail, then post payroll-related totals to your budgets.  Personnel budget numbers can also be uploaded into Martus via Excel without purchasing the Personnel Budgeting module.
